WHAT IS THE LAW OF ATTRACTION?


The Law of Attraction is simply a name, a label, that man has put on a phenomenon that many have come to observe in their lives over the centuries. This phenomenon is "like attracts like", which you may have heard from mainstream media. Chances are that you have even experienced it in your life, although you may not have noticed, it has been called other things as well. One term we hear people use from time to time is "Murphy's Law" or "anything that can go wrong WILL go wrong."

An example that plagues some of us: Not only do you wake up for work late, you then spill your breakfast or coffee on your clothing and have to change. In addition, you realize you should have left for work early because you are out of gas in your vehicle, then you happen to catch all the red lights on your drive to work. Most likely, we have all experienced situations or events similar to this, where one bad thing leads to a spiral of negative events. We get into a negative vibration and begin to notice/attract/create negative things.

Through the Law of Attraction, the Universe responds to our thoughts through the feeling we have about what we give the most attention and energy to.

Simply put, the Law of Attraction is "like attracts like". The universal law that states every person has the ability to attract things into their life with their thoughts and intentions. Through the Law of Attraction, we create our world as we view it, as a result of what our dominate feelings are on a consistent basis. The Law of Attraction responds to how you feel right now, in this very moment.

We have around 60,000 thoughts a day and obviously they all do not manifest. The thoughts that manifest are the ones you are giving the most feeling and energy to, whether they are positive or negative – like attracts like.

A deeper, more accurate definition of the Law of Attraction would be: People create that which is in harmony and resonance with their dominant vibrational state. We want to make this clear right up front, the Law of Attraction is always working 24 hours a day, every single day (see Principle 2 - The Law of Attraction is ALWAYS working). The Law of Attraction works the same as gravity. You know it’s always there and you never question it. You have become used to it. Also, the Law of Attraction is just like breathing. You hardly need to focus on your breath; your body takes care of breathing for you. You have come to rely on your body breathing for you and you will come to know that the Law of Attraction is always working for you, never against you.

In essence, if you are always focused on the positive and see the good in everyone and in every experience, you are attracting more of the same situations into your life. When you wake up in a good mood, everything seemingly goes right during your day, you are feeling on top of the world – this is you attracting more positive situations in your life.

Now on the flip side, have you noticed like the example above, you wake up late for work one morning to find your day has completely spiraled out of control into one negative situation after another? Nothing has gone right, everything has gone wrong and it’s just a very bad day? That one situation (waking up late) has caused you to attract a multitude of negative situations to happen throughout the day.

Have you experienced how bad situations seemingly always happen to you, or “nothing ever works out for me, I never have any money, my kids never listen to me,” and so on? It is because your feelings are focused more often than not on the negatives so that is what you are attracting. If you are constantly worrying, living in fear and anxiety, that is what you are creating.

Once you realize the Law of Attraction is always working, life becomes easier and clearer. You will learn to harness your power as a creator and create what you do want instead of what you do not want.
