NEEDING, WANTING, ASKING, CHOOSING
There are many people who have seen the memes, read the articles or perhaps even read a book telling them to just ask and it is given, or if they believe hard enough, they will receive it, making it sound so simple. It sounds too good to be true, so they doubt the Law of Attraction because like so many of us they have needed, wanted, asked, prayed or even begged for an event or situation to come about, and have experienced not getting what they have needed or wanted. This has created in them an experience of their life being out of their control. They try practicing LOA once or twice, for a week, maybe only a day, or even five minutes and in that short time, they have not achieved their weight loss goals, gotten the promotion, won the lottery, convinced the other person to come to their senses, gotten the house, the boat, the car and on and on and on and on and on… so they say this Law of Attraction stuff is bullshit, it doesn't work!
Like we have said in previous principles, the Law of Attraction can be a challenging concept to wrap your head around. Once you begin to accept that you ARE creating your life in every moment, it really expands your ability to direct it. You need to begin to realize that if you are not getting what you are wanting, it is because you are creating unconsciously on autopilot which is putting out a stronger vibration than the energy you are putting into creating consciously.
Your focus determines your reality. For example, perhaps you are wanting a new car. You focus your intention and attention on that new car. But, are you thinking about how amazing it feels riding in that safe and reliable new vehicle? Are you thinking about what it feels like to drive it? Are you thinking about all of the compliments you are receiving about your new car? Or, are you thinking about how much you need that car because your current car sucks, it’s unreliable and not cool? Are you thinking about all the space your new car has? Or are you thinking about how little space your current car has? They are such subtle differences. Some people may not even realize some of the thoughts are wanting to move towards a new car, and some of the thoughts are about moving away from your current car. Notice the subtle differences. This is why it is SO important to pay attention to how you feel when you think about the things you are choosing, the words you are using and in what way you formulate those thoughts and sentences. Any need or desire or choice that is moving away from your current situation can only create more of your current situation, because it is still focusing your energy on your current situation. Begin focusing your thoughts and feelings on how your new car feels now, present tense. Even though you don't have it yet. Stop noticing you don’t have it yet and it will come.
